Also we stereotype people with certain categories of music, for instance the genre "Grime" instantly we associate black people with this as this is what we often see, white people also like this however because it is not so dominant in the white race we do not associate many whites with the genre "Grime."
The lifestyle group "Joiners-wishing to be accepted" are also associated with a music genre, obviously they follow most other people so they are associated with the genre Pop music as they want to be like most other people.
This is totally unlike the "Experimentalists/Creative" lifestyle group these are the people often seen as random they like unusual types of music e.g. Dub-step/Rock. these people are always willing to try different types of music. This type are also unique, they often wear different clothes and have different haircuts to the everyday regular person.
Another type of audience demographic that we often see is the "Anti-authority rebels" these are the people who agree and act like the Bad boy artists they listen to. This genre of music is rap/R'n'B, often we see people with hoods and balaclavas just because there favorite artist wears them.
So, have you any thoughts on the audience you may wish to target with your magazine? what genre of music interests you and how will you reach your audience? what will you give them that is new and original, not already out there?
